Step 1
You can see all the materials you need to make your own sweet-filledcone at a glance in this photo: a pair of scissors, craft paper in variouscolours, an empty crisps tube, a hot glue gun, our edding 1340 brushpens, edding 1200 glitter colour pens and an edding 55 fineliner, plusa UHU Stic.

Step 2
First, think what design you'd like to create - coloured circles, perhaps, or maybe stripes or little stars? Next, take a sheet of whitepaper and design your chosen pattern using glitter colour pens andbrush pens. This will serve as a colourful outer layer for your schoolcone.

Step 3
As soon as your design is ready, take the sheet of paper and wrap itaround the crisps tube. Use the glue stick to fix it securely, makingsure the original packaging design on the crisp tube is completelycovered up.

Step 4
Now it's time for some finer touches: using the black fineliner, addadditional details - fine lines, little patterns or edging will all give yourcone a special touch. It's entirely up to you whether you do this beforeor after gluing the paper to the crisps tube.

Step 5
Next, take your template, cut it out and place it on a pink sheet of craftpaper. Trace the outline and then cut around the template once more.

Step 6
Now use the edding 1200 glitter colour pen to colour in the centre ofthe shape you have just cut out. Draw a circle in the colour of yourchoosing. This will later serve as the top of your school cone, made toresemble a pencil tip.

Step7
Now glue the two inner edges of your cut-out shape together using ahot glue gun to create a tip and leave it to dry for a short time.

Step 8
Once your "pencil tip" has completely cooled, use the hot glue gun tostick it to the lid or the upper edge of the crisps tube to create thetypical shape of a pencil.

Step9
You can now fill your cone with whatever you wish - sweets, crayonsor a mini surprise. And there you have it: a colourful gift that's justperfect for the very first day of school!
